TSA Luggage ID Rules
Since June 2008, passengers who refuse to show identification at checkpoints are prohibited from entering the secure checkpoint area of an airport. This rule is applied only to those who willfullt refues to produce ID and refuse to assist security staff with verification of their idenity.
The rule change does not apply to those with misplaced or lost I.D.’s, but who are compliant with security officers’ requests. Passengers who are cooperative but lack ID may still be subject to further screenings including physical pat-downs, invasive bag screening, and interviews with behavior detection agents or law enforcement representatives.
